Sledding Fun

Today we enjoyed celebrating Emily's birthday once again but with her friend Abby who's b-day was yesterday. The girls invited all their school friends out to Abby's house for a sledding party. It was a beautiful day with the sun shinning and it was 24 degrees ABOVE zero! We had s'mores by the bonfire, hot cocoa and birtday cake. The girls had a blast! Now I think the birthday girl can rest! Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I'll try and post some pictures this week sometime of the girls and christmas break.

Happy Belated B-day Steve and Keven

Happy Birthday to our friends Steve and Keven on the 3rd. Hope you both had a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday to our 7yr Old Emily!

Happy Birthday Emily!!!! It's hard to believe you are 7 years old!! Thanks for being such a great helper with Natalie and a great big sister to Rachel. You are my beautiful brown haired babe!

Emily celebrated her birthday by having her friends Ella and Mia join us swimming at the highschool pool, going out to dinner at Whiskey River and having a sleep over. The next day Gpa and Gma Salfer, Gma Elaine and Gpa Tom met us at the bowling alley in St. Peter for an afternoon of fun. They came over to our house after for b-day cake (ice cream cake) mind you it was -15 degrees.

Welcome Eli

Little Elijah Andrew Yost was welcomed to the world on December 30th. Congratulations Jessica, Charlie and big sister Lydia. Eli is ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Years Eve

New Years Eve we had friends over to ring in the new year. The Gracks, Gilbertsons, Lundquists, Crowley's and Mahoney's were all here. I think there were 24 of us all together. We dined on soups and bread-each of us brought a different one and they were all very good! The kids sang kariokee and us adults played a lively game of Pictionary, Guesstures and of course we ended with Maffia. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and we look forward to many more celebrations with all of you in 2010!! Thanks for a fun night guys!

Happy Birthday Paul

Christmas Celebrations Everywhere!

Just a little behind in blogging-oh well-it's not like this is anything new for me!

I left off Christmas Eve day I believe? That night we went to mass dressed in our christmas outfits and looking pretty cute. Father Phil had all the kids come up to the alter and read them a christmas story. It was very special. We came home had a nice meal and then ripped open our presents. The girls got PJ's (a tradition) a couple games, and some other things. Rachel wasn't very impressed-she was hoping for something more I guess?! What do ya do? Soooo....off to bed we all go in anticipation of what Santa may bring. 4:30am Brian hears footsteps coming down the steps...all 3 girls...4:30!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What?!?!?!?!? So he sends them back up to bed and they come down at 6:30. Ok it's a little better but seriously-have you heard of sleeping in??? Adrenaline kicks in and everyone is wide awake, except Natalie. The girls can't believe it, Santa did really come! Once again, wrapping paper goes flying. Emily gets a Lego Set and an Our generation doll (american girl doll cousin :), Caitlin gets a bike and Rachel disappointed once again gets a Barbie with a horse and a movie...That's it??!! What??!?!

After playing with their things, we load up the car and head to Lucan. It only takes us 2 hours so not too bad but long enough. The whole crew made it to mom and dads and we had a great day together. We traveled to Wabasso to the Salfer christmas on Saturday and everyone was there too! We had a great day playing in the snow-the kids, Mike and Brian made a snow fort/tunnel, ate lots of yummy food and of course opening more gifts....
