Where was I?
Ok, found the camera and some time to sit at the computer so I will try and update all that's gone on.
Flood waters are slowly going down. Here are the photo's that I promised to post:
Hwy 169 From St. Peter to LeSueur
County Road 8 Looking from LeSueur (this is the road Brian takes in to work)
The white stuff on the side of the road is not snow, it's the waves from the rush of the water!
Pictures from the Girls BB game at Target Center:
Levi with ice cream! Yes he has TWO spoons!
The kids and some of their friends

Flood Waters
Last Sunday Brian, the girls and I went on a joy ride to see the flooding around St. Peter and LeSueur. It's amazing! The water on Hwy169 on the way to LeSueur was all the way up to the side of the road-it's a little freaky being that close to it but cool too. The road that Brian takes into LeSueur is closed because a big portion of the road disappeared under the river. We took the girls down to it and it again was pretty amazing. Our friends the Yosts, are currently living at Jess's parents home which is now on their very own island. The river has overflowed it's banks and their driveway and road to their house is under water. They have to hike on higherground thru some woods to a pump station where they park their cars. Jessica and Charlie have 2 little kids so they haven't done a whole lot of traveling off the farm. And the currant of the river is so strong and forceful-just imagine the energy it takes to move that much water. I will post pictures of our adventures as soon as the camera is located! :) It's around here somewhere....
Welcome to the World
Congrats to our friends the Lundquists on welcoming little Beckham Daniel into their lives. Beckham was born 3 weeks early on March 22nd. He weighed 9 lbs 5 oz. the same as his big brother Kael and big sister Elli. He's adorable guys!!! We're so happy for you!

A Father's Love
Brian took Caitlin and Emily on "dates" this weekend and the girls each had a very special and memorable time. On Friday night he took Caitlin to Mankato to the Girls BB game and then out for ice cream at Coldstone Creamery. On Saturday night he took Emily to the Father/Daughter dance at the community center. They got dressed up in their finest and Brian even bought Emily a bouquet of flowers. There was dancing and food and fun activities. Luckily Rachel didn't feel too slighted as she knows it's her turn next! I'm waiting for my turn too!!!

A Well Needed Break
I was able to get away from the family this past weekend and went scrapbooking with my friends Amy and Laura. We spent the weekend at my brother's house in Rogers as he and his family were vacationing in the Dells. Thanks again guys for letting us crash there! We scrapped, talked, ate, scrapped some more, ate some more and of course talked a lot more! Brian took the girls to Wabasso for a sleepover at Gpa and Gma Salfers. They got to see their cousins, go to a basketball game and hang out with Gpa and Gma. They had tons of fun!! I was so impressed with Brian. He was able to pick up the house, pack 4 GIRLS, himself and left on time. This is all after he took all of them to Rachel's swim lesson at 9:30, brought them home, showered Rachel up and left at 11am. WOW!!!! We all needed a little break from each other and some change of scenery. Caitlin came down with the flu last Sunday night and had it for 2 days, then Emily came down with it on Tuesday and Natalie had some "loose" diapers, I was a little queezy and Rachel ended up going in on Friday to find out she had bronchialitis (sp?) We are soooooo ready for spring! I am somewhat refreshed but totally not motivated today to do anything. It's ok to relax....the house will still stand even if it's not completely clean and the kids will still have clothes to wear tomorrow! So I will enjoy this cloudy day not doing a thing! :) Have a good one!
