Whoa, did we fall off the face of the earth again??

Lots has happened since my last post back on May 14th. Here's what's been going on:

May 14th Caitlin's Birthday party with her 3rd Grade girl friends at the Lake Crystal Rec Center. The day was complete with a sleepover! Thank goodness there is only 3 other 3rd grade girls. That's about all Brian and I could handle!

May 15th Caitlin's 2nd Birthday party with Godparents, Grandparents, Family and Neighbors

The day was beautiful! After the 3rd grade girls went home we were on to party #2! The Landwehrs came up from Iowa and the girls just love it when they come! We had a nice afternoon, grilling burgers, opening gifts and eating b-day cake. Ken and Gladys, Mom and Dad, Bob and Laura, Mya and Ally, Alisa and Dan, Great Grandma Schueller and our neighbors Mike and Irene were the birthday guests. Caitlin got alot of nice things but among them one of her favorites, a model rocket! Hopefully she'll get to put it together soon and launch it!

Emily nicely sharing her sucker with Natalie

Gymnastics: Rachel, Emily and Caitlin finished up their session of gymnastics and LOVED it! Rachel and Caitlin get to move up to the next level and Emily who was in the same level as Caitlin will do her level again. Just a few things to work on. Of course she is 19 months younger than Caitlin so she already is way ahead! :) They will start up again in June sometime. Both Caitlin and Emily can do a cartwheel off the beam and stick it and Rachel does awesome cartwheels. For Caitlin's b-day we got the girls a balance beam! It's alot harder than it looks!

I can't wait to do what my sisters do!

Rachel says this is a piece of cake!

Emily taking a leap of faith!

What form Caitlin!

End of the School Year awards and Field Day:

Caitlin and Emily both were recognized for their acheivments in the Accelerated Reading program and Physical Fitness Awards. Caitlin got the "blue patch" which is the highest honor in the presidential fitness awards and Emily received the "red patch". And both girls did well in the reading program. Emily was surprised at both awards she received while Caitlin was expecting that she'd get awards in both areas! :) That's typical!! :)

They had another beautiful day for field day the last day of school. Emily and Caitlin were on different teams, but this time Emily's yellow team took 1st place and beat out Caitlin's red team who got 2nd place. Both were excited to receive ribbons! I think secretly Emily wanted to say "nana, nana boobo, I beat you!" I know I would've!!!! The girls both were sad to say goodbye to 1st and 3rd grade and they both really liked their teachers. But it was the same story last year and they got over it very quickly. :) It's hard to believe that we will have a 2nd grader and 4th grader next year! Wow! Time does fly!

Our Babe is ONE!

Natalie's special treat-banana cream pie

"I'm ONE!"

It is really hard for me to think that a whole year has gone by and baby Natalie is one year old! Where does the time go? I feel abundantly blessed to have been wrong about being "done" having kids. Both Brian and I can't imagine our lives with out Natalie! The girls simply adore her and Natalie always has a bright smile for her sisters! Even though our house may be crazy with alot of emotion I can't imagine having it any other way! I think about how much fun they are all going to have when they're in their 20's. Hopefully I'll be invited to hang out with them!!

Natalie is 19lbs. and about 27" and has yet to cut her first tooth! She is a petite little girl but is big in personality. She's walking and babbling and has a cute little squeal when she's excited. She loves bagels from Panera, bananas and chocolate chip cookies. She loves to play with remotes, cell phones and home phones.

Happy Birthday Natalie!!! We love you! Mom, Dad, Caitlin, Emily and Rachel

Happenings with the Salfer girls

I have been meaning to post Natalie's big news that she's walking for a couple weeks now. She started taking steps around Easter but nothing major. Then in the past week or so she's been on the move. She now prefers to walk rather than crawl. She absolutely loves her new found freedom! She can sure get into alot of things too! For some reason or another she loves to play in the dishwasher-it's fine when the dishes are clean but when they're dirty and she pulls out a spoon to suck on, not so good. she's definitely become more vocal too. No words except mama, baba, dada. Just alot of squaking!

Rachel, Emily and Caitlin have been in gymnastics for the past 6 weeks and have been loving every minute of it. They are all quite good at it-not to boast. I'm not sure where they get their athletic ability. The teachers are super with all the kids. Emily and Caitlin were asked to join in a new program where the teachers hand select girls who they think are ready to take things to the next level-it's called Hot Shots. Its a lot of fun to watch them!

Caitlin is running for student council rep for next years 4th grade class. Yes, 4th grade!!! Seriously?!?! I sure don't feel like I'm old enough for a 4th grader! She had to fill out a questionaire and did a really good job answering the questions. She claims to be hard working and able to get things done. I'm still wondering where she gets that idea! Maybe she's that way at school but I beg to differ when it comes to things at home!

Oh, I almost forgot to mention that Brian and the girls took me out for my b-day to BW3 in Mankato and I ordered a margarita and the waitress carded me!!!! I was super excited but then wondered how intelligent she was...I was with FOUR kids!!!!!!!! Hmmmm.......

That's all for now....future birthday celebrations to come....

Happy Anniversary!

Happy 36th Anniversary mom and dad!
