Emily-1st Year of Golf

Emily decided to go out for golf and she had alot of fun.  There were days she was excited how she did and days where she wasn't happy about her score and wanted to be done.  I'm glad she stuck with it since it's a sport you improve on year after year and you can play it all your life.

Last Day of School 2015/2016

Finishing up 1st and 4th grade for Natalie and Rachel.  I think it was a pretty successful year for the two girls.  Looking forward to next year...

4th Grade Skit, Field Day and Awards Day

We are gearing up for the end of the school year with lots of happenings at JI.  Rachel's class entertained us with a skit that they wrote and performed.  They did a fabulous job!  I have always said I love her class...they all have big personalities and are the best of friends.

Field Day took on a different look this year with an all school kick ball tournament.  The girls weren't super excited about the change to the traditional field day but in the end I think they still had fun.  

End of the Year Reading, Student Council and Physical Fitness awards.  Award day celebrates all the kids gifts and talents.  Its a nice way to acknowledge all their goals they set for themselves for the year.

Caitlin's 15th!

We waited all day long to celebrate with this girl.  Caitlin was lucky enough to spend her birthday, which was cold, rainy and windy, in Redwood Falls at the Big South Conference track meet.  She had injured herself on the pole vault so she didn't even compete!  She had fun anyway cheering on her teammates.  When she got home we headed over to one of our favorite hangouts, Dino's, for dinner.  And after we went back home to have birthday cake.

Then this happened!  She passed her permit test!  WhooHoo!

JI Spring Program

The Spring Program didn't disappoint.  I think they get better and better every year.  Natalie never stops smiling.  Ever.  Rachel tries to hold it back but I think she really wants to smile thru the whole thing too!  

Natalie's Golden Birthday

This sweet and funny girl celebrated her GOLDEN birthday with a fun class party with the theme of The Amazing Race!  With the help of our girls and a few family friends, the pit stops were set and the 2nd graders were off racing.  I think they all had a lot of fun and everyone was a winner....there was so much candy that we sent the kids home with it was almost embarrassing.   

Mandy's Birthday

With all the May birthday celebrations I just wanted to be outside on a cool sunny May day and have a low key 41st.  We headed to Mankato and picked up pizza and ate at Sibley park and saw the animals.  It was maybe a bit too cool for a picnic but the family humored me anyway.  After Sibley we headed over to another family favorite, the Children's Museum.  And then finally dessert at one of our favorite ice cream shoppes, Mom and Pops.  The girls entertained patrons on the piano outside while I nursed Lilly in the car :)   It was a great birthday!  One I never imagined celebrating with 6 children!  I guess they keep me young!

Went to Iowa for Abby's confirmation and we had this fabulous hotel room-3 queens

An unfortunate meeting with the Lindbo's.  Uncle Timmy passed away so Lauren and Lillian got to see their cousins Owen and Jackson at his funeral.

This is what I do alot of the time...I guess it could be worse?

Brian took his Engineering test in April and needed a watch during the test.  So he picked one up at Walmart, a Hello Kitty one and brought it back for one of his cutie pies.  Lauren was so excited to have her "own" watch. (Oh and Brian passed-Yipee!!!!)

Brian and I got away on a date and met up with our friends Drew and Jen for dinner.  They texted us a picture of themselves "waiting patiently" at the restaurant so Brian and I sent back a picture of us "stuck" in Mankato traffic....we may have just been a little late ;)

Lillian 2 months old

Sweet, sweet Lilly is 2 months old!!  Time seems to be flying by sometimes and other times not so much...like the sleepless nights we still seem to have.  Lillian is such a good baby.  Still getting loved on by her sisters.  She's more alert and smiling when you talk to her. 

Luck of the Irish-Fun Run

This years Fun Run had a lot different feel than last years....SNOW!  Brian and Natalie were troopers and braved the slippery Kids .7 mile.  Natalie was able to finish this year without any tears...she knew what to expect which makes a huge difference.  The race and evening activities were alot of fun and alot of work. But its all for a great cause-John Ireland school!!
